Intel admits budget CPUs could be affected by 13th and 14th Gen Core instability
Chipzilla initially said only high-end CPUs were affected
Now it's revealed slower, cheaper chips could be hit too
Intel has acknowledged that its 13th and 14th Gen Core CPUs are suffering from an instability issue, and that even budget-friendly chips could be affected.
The chipmaker initially said that the problem was only occurring with its most powerful Core i9 and i7 SKUs, but it has now revealed that the issue is more widespread.
Intel says it has found the source of the instability and will address it with a microcode update.
