At Venice Film Festival, Jude Law Debuts ‘The Order’ About FBI Manhunt for a Domestic Terrorist

Jude Law plays an FBI agent, Jack Radcliff, in 'The Order'.

Jude Law attended the debut of his exciting new film this past Friday, September 9th, 2023, at Venice Film Festival.

‘The Order,’ directed by Justin Kurzel, is a crime drama that follows the story of FBI agent, Jack Radcliff, played by Jude Law. The film is based on Sam Hawken’s book of the same name.

The story starts with an investigation into the murder of a young woman, whose body was found in the woods of West Virginia. After unearthing evidence linking the crime to a far-right extremist group, the FBI launches a manhunt for a domestic terrorist named Frank Anness, played by Nicholas Hoult.

The film tackles issues of extremism and terrorism.

‘The Order’ is very timely because it dives into pressing issues of extremism and terrorism that are affecting the world today.

Director Justin Kurzel says: “The rise of right-wing extremism is a growing and dangerous trend, which has led to a number of deadly terrorist attacks in recent years. I hope this film will shed some light on this problem and help people to understand the motivations of these individuals."

Jude Law delivered a ‘riveting’ performance, according to critics.

Early reviews from critics are praising the film, particularly Jude Law's performance as Agent Radcliff.

Variety’s Peter Debruge says that Jude Law gives a “riveting” performance as the film's protagonist.

The Hollywood Reporter's David Rooney says Law is “in top form” as the FBI agent who becomes increasingly obsessed with his pursuit of the terrorist.

‘The Order’ is a powerful and timely crime drama that is sure to stay with audiences long after the credits roll. The film's strong performances, particularly from Jude Law, and its relevant subject matter make it a must-see.
